STEP 4. Lift reversible plate and remove any loose parts stored inside. Lay regulator
assembly aside for a future step. Always ensure the pegs on the underside of the grill plate
are inserted into the locating holes in the front corners of the grill (FIG 7a-b). The lip on the
grill plate will be positioned to drain into the drip tray. To change the grilling surface flip the
plate over and reorient the plate so the pegs insert into the locating holes. Hang the drip tray
on the wide notch in the front of the grill just under the lip of the grill plate (FIG 7c).
Note: The ribbed side is a grill and the smooth side is a griddle.

STEP 5. To adjust the slope of the grilling surface, grasp the spring loaded level adjusters
on the right and left sides of the grill (FIG 8). Rotate the adjusters until they lock into place
(FIG 9). Adjust the slope based on the type of food being grilled. The sloped position is for
grilling meats so the fat drains into the drip tray. The flat position is for vegetables or to
use the griddle surface.
ATTACHING REGULATOR ASSEMBLY AND LP GAS CYLINDER
STEP 6
A. Turn the regulator knob to the "LOCK/OFF" position. (FIG 10)
B Remove the protective cap from the LP cylinder gas nozzle.
C. Hold LP cylinder upright. Do not turn it upside down when connecting to the
regulator assembly. (FIG 11)
D. Push the LP cylinder nozzle into regulator nipple and turn counterclockwise.
Make sure the connection does not cross thread.
E. Hand tighten until a snug fit is obtained. Do not use tools.
F. Perform a leak test. (See LEAK TEST INSTRUCTIONS, but first go to next page.)
G. Insert nozzle end of the regulator/cylinder assembly to the burner Venturi tube.
Thread the coupling clockwise into the Venturi tube by hand. Do not tighten
