Cooling System Cleaning

Before each operation, check that the air inlet
(rotary) screen is free from grass and debris. Clean
the screen if necessary. Every 50 hours of operation,
check the inside fan housing from the cleanout
covers. To inspect the inside, loosen bolts of the
cleanout covers and remove them. Every 100 hours
of operation, check and clean the cooling fins and the
inside of engine shrouds to remove grass, chaff or dirt
clogging the cooling system and causing overheating.
When cleaning, remove the guard and air inlet screen,
then remove the fan housing and engine shrouds
(includes removing the air cleaner, fuel pump, oil
cooler and the voltage regulator parts) if necessary.
NOTICE
Do not run engine before all cooling system
parts are reinstalled to keep cooling and
carburetion as intended.
