Prevention of ESD
To fulfill the requirements in
IEC61340-5-1 the controller shall be
placed more than 30 cm away from the
ESDS (Electrostatic sensitive devices).
If that is not possible the display shall
be treated with an antistatic agent
before the controller is brought in to the
EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) and
regulary during use.
Differential circuit breaker
The controller is equipped with a differential
circuit breaker to protect the operator from
electric shock.
A differential circuit breaker in the power supply
to the controller detects any insulation defect
between the phases of the network and the earth
and immediately cuts off the power supply.
Fuse
The fuse on the electronic board is a 1Amp/slow
blow 250V BK/ETF1A from Bussmann.
This fuse should only be changed by qualified
service personnel. Replace only with a fuse of
same reference.
INSTALLATION
(See page 5).
Although our cables are designed
to work under drastic conditions, we
recommend that you check the following
points for longer service life:
● Bending radius should not be lower
than 10 times the cable diameter
(D-c).
● Friction with the outer sheath should
be restricted (D-b).
● Any direct pull on the cable should be
avoided (D-a).
The controller should be installed in such
a way that it should be easily switched
off.
Fieldbus module

See page 7.
When the fieldbus module is not into its
location, the cover must remain in place.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
● If needed, clean the external panels of the
controller by using a dry cloth.
Maintenance should be performed by qualified
personnel only.
Danger
Risk of electric shock.
● Disconnect from power supply and
wait 10 minutes before commencing
service operations.
Failure to wait 10 minutes may result
in electric shock from undischarged
capacitors.
● Prior to any maintenance task, do as follows:
- powering the controller off
- disconnecting the power cord cable
- disconnecting the tool cable.
Assembly and disassembly
● Follow standard engineering practices and
refer to figures/exploded view for the mounting
of component subassemblies.
● Prior to putting the equipment back into
service, check that its main settings have not
been modified and that the safety devices
work properly.
The use of spare parts other than those
originally supplied by the manufacturer
may result in a drop in performance or
in increased maintenance and level of
vibration and in the full cancellation of the
manufacturer's liability.
When disposing of components,
lubricants, etc... ensure that the relevant
safety procedures are carried out.
According to Directive 2012/19/
CE concerning Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), this
product must be recycled.
● Contact your Desoutter
representative or consult the website
"www. desouttertools.com" to find out
where you can recycle this product.
When the power cord is damaged, it
must only be replaced by an identical
part.
The plug of the power cord is considered
as the disconnect device and must be
easily accessible at all times.
