Use only elements provided by IRiS Lighting
Systems. Use of other manufacturer's reflectors
voids the Underwriter Laboratories listings and
CSA certification and could constitute a fire hazard.
N otee: IRiS recessed luminaires (fixtures) are designed to meet the latest NEC requirements and are UL/cULus listed
in full compliance with UL 1598. Before attempting installation of any recessed lighting luminaire check your
local electrical code. This code sets the wiring standards for your locality and should be carefully studied before
starting. Platforms are airtight and meet or exceed the performance requirements of the Council of American
Building Officials 1995 Model Energy Code (CABO MEC) and prescriptive method used by other municipalities.
INSTALLATION
N otee:
Non-IC Platform:The PN4LED housing platform are
•
designed for installation where it will not come in
contact with insulation. Thermal insulation must be
kept a minimum of three inches (3") away from the
housing sides, top and junction box. (Figure 1.)
If fixture is to be switched from wall switch, make
•
sure black power supply wire is connected to the
switch. DO NOT connect the white supply wire to
the switch.
WARNING
Risk of Fire! Supply conductors (power wires)
connecting the fixture must be rated minimum 90°C. If
uncertain, consult an electrician.
WARNING
Installation and servicing to be performed only by
qualified personnel. If not qualified, consult an
electrician.
