Installation Instructions – PN4LED Recessed Housing Platforms
The PN4LED housing platform is equipped with
•
universal hanger brackets (Figure 3.). The height of the
hanger brackets can be adjusted by loosening the
adjustment screws and adjusting the height of the hanger
bracket. The adjustment screws should then be tightened
to secure the position of the hanger bracket.
When used this fixture should be supported by main
•
runners or other structure that is capable of supporting
a fixture weight of 10 pounds (Figure 4.). Brackets are
adjustable by loosening the two adjustment screws,
moving brackets up or down and retightening screws.
To facilitate tighter joist spacing remove universal hanger
brackets by accessing mounting screws through access
holes. Reinstall mounting screws into housing to maintain
airtight construction.
Maximum ceiling thickness is 2" with the standard
•
plaster frame collar.
The bar hanger can be used for joist installation up to
•
24" . For 10" spacing, the bar hangers can be shortened by
breaking them at score lines. (Figure 5.)
Joist Installation
Use the bar hanger for joist installation. (Figure 6. and 7 .)
1. Extend bar hangers to fit between joist and position
mounting tab locater lip tight to bottom of joist or
framing member. Bar hangers should be level with
bottom of joist or framing member.
2. Attach bar hangers to joist or framing member using
appropriate hardware for material type.
3. Adjust housing platform position by sliding back and
forth on bar hangers to desired position. Housing may
be locked into position by tightening bar hanger locking
screws on housing platform.
Grid Ceiling Installation
1. Extend bar hangers between the T-bars and slide the
slots in the mounting tabs over the T-bars.
2. Adjust housing platform position by sliding back and
forth on bar hangers to desired position. Housing may
be locked into position by tightening bar hanger locking
screws on housing platform. (Figure 8.)
