7) Pull Out Eyelet - Attach to Wire Support Bracket (fig. 7)
Slowly pull the twist-tie 15 that is attached to carriage's eyelet 17 and wire rope. Pull back the eyelet's rubber sleeve 18 about 1/8 inch
away from the eyelet hole. While holding the eyelet's rubber sleeve 18, remove and discard the twist-tie. Continue to pull the eyelet and
wire rope straight out to the left so the eyelet's hole is over the screw hole in the wire support bracket 5. While holding the eyelet in a
straight position, place the new round head screw 7 through the eyelet hole and screw it down tightly to the wire support bracket (using
a #2 Phillips screwdriver). Important: Check that the rubber sleeve is not caught between the eyelet and the bracket – check that the
eyelet and wire rope are set straight in line to the carriage (see fig. 7).

8) Pull Out Wire Shroud - Attach to Wire Support Bracket (figs. 7 and 8)
Pull the wire shroud 4 to the left until it contacts the right side of the wire support bracket 5 (If the shroud has moved into the front
rail, reach under the rail to the right of the carriage and push the shroud back out to the left). Place the new shoulder screw 8 through
the hole on the left side of the bracket and screw it into the threaded screw hole in the shroud. Tighten the screw using a #2 Phillips
screwdriver – Note: The screw will not tighten the shroud to the bracket in order to allow the shroud to self-align as it slides within the
front rail. Important: Be sure the shroud is properly installed – it protects the wire rope from damage when the saw's extension table is
extended.

9) Move Extension Table Back to Left
Release the table saw's rail lock lever by pulling forward and up. Move the extension table back to the left until it stops. Push down on
lock lever to hold the rail in place. Your digital carriage is now ready to use for future rip cuts – follow the operating instructions: "Bosch
Digital Carriage".
Note: The digital carriage is only used when making rip cuts - it should be placed in the left most "parking position" when the saw is
used for making other types of cuts or when folding the saw stand – see operating instructions.
