6. Additional capabilities in machines with display
When having an electronic display, besides the aforementioned functions, there are many extra functions
available:
•
Automatic daily switch ON/OFF; "Stand by" function.
•
Time management: Current day and time.
•
Advertising display.
•
Total counter of erogated espressos and hot water services (through the display).
•
Digital control and visualization of the temperature of the boiler through the display.
•
Maximum control of temperature in the boiler through PID technology.
•
On-display help for re-programming and adjusting.
•
Visual alarm to warn about the need of regeneration of the water softener filter.
•
Display language selection.

6.1. User Manual Functions

The functions: Clock adjust, Auto On/Off & Day Off are explained in the User Manual.

6.2. Counters

There are 4 counters available:
•
Litres: Litres of water which have come through the machine (help to know when decalcifying is
needed)
•
Service: Coffee brewings needed for technical service.
•
Total coffee & hot water brewings
•
Coffee brewings per dose keypad

Counters access

•
Keep pressed over 8 seconds the button of continuous brewing
(Enter programming). All the lights of the keypad will light but the one of
the continuous brewing, that will blink. The display will show::
•
Once again, press, and maintain pressed the continuous brewing
button, till on the display it is shown "Clock adjust":
•
Press, briefly, the continuous button. On the display the option
"Counters" will be shown:

Counter Litres

This counter shows the volume of water (litres), that has been through the machine. Its main purpose is to
facilitate the control of when a regeneration of the water softener is needed.
How to access: When the display shows "counters", accept by pressing "OK" (two short espressos).
To exit and get to the next menu, press the button continuous brewing.
•
In chapter "7.17 Water softener filter: Regeneration", it can be programmed how many litres of water
the machine will use before giving the warning of the need to regenerate the water softener. This way, the
counter counts the litres of water and warns the user when it is needed to do the regeneration of the water
softener.
