f) Insert the end of the wire rope in the
drum flange hole (Fig. 13, item 7).
g) Insert the wire rope in the wedge
socket (Fig. 13, item 3).
h) Place the tip of the taper plate (Fig. 13,
item 9) in the wedge socket (Fig. 13,
item 3).
i) Form a loop with the end of the wire
rope (Fig. 13, item 5) and insert it
between the taper plate and the taper
box (Fig. 13, item 3). Allow the end of
the wire rope to come out of the wedge
socket by 30 +/-5mm (Fig. 13, item X).
j) Pull hard on the wire rope (Fig. 14) to
tighten the wire rope loop around the
taper plate bearing piece (Fig. 13,
item 2).
• Check that the wire rope loop is in
contact with the taper plate bearing
piece (Fig. 13, item 2) and that the
section of wire rope coming out of the
end is X=30+/-5mm (Fig.13, item X).
• Switch on the winch and use the control
unit ("up" button) to fully wind the wire
rope on the drum, taking care not to
actuate the limit stop lever with the limit
stop. During the winding operation, the
operator must keep the wire rope
tensioned by manually pulling on the
hook and taking care to uniformly
distribute the wire rope on the drum.
-> Wire rope installation completed.
14.3.3 Procedure for disassembly and
installation of limit stop lever kit
The limit stop lever is shown in figure 15.
Composition:
1) 1 limit stop lever
2) 1 mounting screw
3) 2 washers
4) 1 self-locking nut
5) 1 return spring
The change of limit stop lever is shown in
figure 16.
Composition:
1) limit stop lever
2) mounting screw
3) washers
4) self-locking nut
5) mounting screw hole
6) return spring
7) electric motor clamping rod
8) return spring fastening hole
9) electric motor casing hole
10) electric motor flange
11) limit switch
12) limit switch actuating blade
13) casing lug
14) lever lug
15) opening for limit stop lever
Tools required:
• 2 open-end wrenches, 17 mm
• 1 flat head screwdriver
Procedure for disassembly of limit stop lever.
• Switch off the winch and disconnect the
electrical power supply.
• Set the winch so that it bears on its
carrying handle.
During this operation, be careful to protect
the clamp fastening studs (risk of damage to
threads).
• Unfasten the return spring (Fig. 16, item
6) from the electric motor clamping rod
(Fig. 16, item 7) using the screwdriver.
• Block the self-locking nut (Fig. 16, item
4) against rotation using the first 17 mm
wrench, then loosen the mounting screw
(Fig. 16, item 2) securing the limit stop
lever using the second 17 mm wrench.
• Remove the screw, self-locking nut and
limit stop lever equipped with the return
spring.
• Remove the limit stop lever from the
wire rope.
-> Disassembly completed.
Procedure for installing limit stop lever kit.
Before installing the limit stop lever, check
that the wire rope and the limit switch (Fig.16,
item 11) are in good condition.
