3.11 Adjustment of the footrest
Adjust to the upper position until it clicks into place at both sides (fig . 19, b) . While
adjusting downward, adjust at first to the highest position (fig . 19, c) . Pull back
then the footrest downwards (fig . 19, a) .
4. Securing the child with the 5-point belt system
4.1 Opening the 5-point belt system
Push the button in the middle of the buckle (fig . 20, no . 1) and the buckle tongues
will come outwards (fig . 20, no . 2) .
4.2 Width-adjustment of the 5-point belt system and securing the child
Place your child in the seat unit, put the shoulder belts over childs shoulder and
place the buckle between the legs of the child . Connect the buckle tongues of
the hip belts (fig . 20, a) and the shoulder belts (fig . 20, b) and plug these together
at each side into the buckle until it locks . Check by hand pull tests whether the
belt system is locked securely .
The belt system can be adjusted by sliding the 5 belt adjusters in the desired
direction (fig . 21) .
The belt system is adjusted correctly when the belts lay firmly on the childs body .
4.3 Height-adjustment of the shoulder belts
Push both plastic clips on the rear side of the backrest (fig . 23, no . 3) through the
holes to the front (fig . 22, no . 1) . Now insert the plastic clips into the holes (fig . 22,
no . 2) at the reqired height . Take care that both plastic clips are lay flat and at the
