Preliminary cleaning

The trimmer should be free of hair and dirt. Use the cleaning brush supplied to clean the
device.
Attaching/removing a guide comb
Your device comes with 3 guide combs:
- 1 very short guide for a hair length of 1 to 12 mm,
- 1 short guide for a length of 3 to 15 mm,
- 1 long guide for a length of 18 to 30 mm.
• The length settings are given in millimetres on the guide comb and correspond to the
length of hair remaining after it has been cut.
To attach the guide comb:
1. The device must be unplugged and switched off to attach or remove a guide comb. If the
device is switched on, use the on/off button (5) to turn it off: After a few seconds, the LCD
screen will turn off, which means that the device has shut down.
2. Choose a guide comb based on your desired cutting length (very short, short or long).
3. Place the guide comb into the side notches, then press the tab to properly attach it to
the trimmer head. You should hear a "click" when it locks into place (see diagram on
next page).
4. You then need to lock the trimmer head for better stability by pushing the lock button
located at the back of the trimmer into the "locked" position
5. Make sure the guide comb is secure before use.
