5. Commissioning

AA batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity of the contacts.
2.
Open the battery compartment of the backup battery and insert a CR2032
battery. Pay attention to the correct polarity of the contacts.
3.
Then, connect the provided 5V DC coaxial power adapter to the weather
station.
4.
For this purpose, connect the power adapter to a properly installed socket.
Note: The CR2032 battery is used only as a backup battery and supplies pow-
er to the internal memory so that all settings are saved.
5.1 Connection with the outdoor sensor
1.
Select the desired channel using the "Channel" button in the battery com-
partment of the outdoor sensor.
2.
After start-up, the weather station attempts to connect with the outdoor
sensor. Make sure that both the devices are with each other's range. The
connection icon " " starts flashing in the "Outdoor temperature and hu-
midity" display of the main unit. Press the "Sensor" button to start searching
automatically.
If the main unit cannot establish a connection with the outdoor sensor within 2
minutes, then it stops searching. The connection icon stops flashing and the tem-
perature display shows "--%" and "--° C" on the display.
If a connection cannot be established, then this could be, for example, due to thick
walls, or to a long distance of the sensor from the main unit. In this case, position
the sensor and the main unit closer to each other. To restart scanning, press and
hold the "Sensor" button on the back of the main unit for 2 seconds until the con-
nection symbol in the display starts flashing.
