To oil jaws
•
Disconnect the blind rivet setting tool from the compressed air supply.
•
Unscrew union nut (A) and steel head sleeve (C) and clean inside if necessary.
•
Remove compression springs (D); (possible number of compression springs for triggering
force: 0 to 5 springs).
•
Loosen support sleeve (E) with an appropriate WAF 14 open-ended spanner.
•
Release jaw housing (F) with two 17 mm spanners.
•
Remove jaw pusher (H), damping ring (I), middle piece (J) and spring (K).
•
Remove jaws (G), clean and oil sliding surfaces; replace if worn.
•
Check jaw pusher (H) for wear and replace if necessary.
•
Reassemble the grip mechanism in reverse order of removal.
•
Fit compression springs; tighten steel head sleeve with union nut.
•
Connect the blind rivet setting tool to the compressed air supply.
9.2
To change jaws
•
Disconnect the blind rivet setting tool from the compressed air supply.
•
Unscrew union nut (A) and steel head sleeve (C) and clean inside if necessary.
•
Remove or add compression springs (D) depending on the desired triggering force.
•
Loosen support sleeve (E) with an appropriate WAF 14 open-ended spanner
•
Release jaw housing (F) with two 17 mm spanners.
•
Remove jaw pusher (H), damping ring (I), middle piece (J) and spring (K).
•
Fit new jaws (G) from the front (they are held by the grease).
•
Check jaw pusher (H) for wear and replace if necessary.
•
Reassemble the grip mechanism in reverse order of removal.
•
Fit compression springs; tighten steel head sleeve with union nut.
•
Connect the blind rivet setting tool to the compressed air supply.
9.3
To top up hydraulic oil
Follow correct sequence.
Wear safety goggles!
•
Store the riveting tool in a dry place.
•
If necessary, worn nosepieces (A) must be replaced as per section 8.2.
•
After prolonged use, it may be necessary to refill or replace hydraulic oil. Follow the steps
below to refil or replace hydraulic oil.
Danger of oil escaping at high pressure.
