i. Press the Deac va on bu on on the remote control to deac vate the X4
Siren. You hear 2 short beeps accompanied by 2 short red flashes of the
detec on window.
4. Installing your system
Now, mount the X4 Siren and window sensors following the instruc ons in the
manual.
The X4 alarm unit should always be mounted using the two included screws.
Please note: We strongly advise against using any double sided s cky moun ng
material.
We advise to install the device at a height of approximately 2 meters, while
taking the below recommenda ons into account:
The mo on detector should not face a window or an area where heat
differences can occur like radiators, open windows, fireplaces, air condi ons.
Furthermore, avoid direct or indirect sunlight. Even if the floor reflects
sunlight, it can affect the sensor.
Therefore, we recommend installing the mo on detector in a corner that is
void from any of those factors men oned above, and where the sensor looks
into the room you want to guard.
Once all components are mounted, ac vate the system: Select the "S" bu on
on the remote control to choose the loud siren sound. Now, to ac vate your
system, press the Ac va on bu on on the remote control.

Daily use of your alarm system

Switch On/Off
Press the SET-bu on on the X4 for 5 seconds to switch the unit on or off. When
switching on you will hear one short beep accompanied with a short flash of
the detec on window. When switching the X4 off, you will hear one long beep
and the detec on window will flash longer. When the X4 is switched on, it will

be in the same state (ac vated or deac vated) as it was when it was switched off.
Arming the system
Press the Ac va on bu on on the remote control. You will hear one beep as a
confirma on that the system has been ac vated.
Deac va ng the system
Press the Deac va on bu on on the remote control.
You will hear two beeps as a confirma on that the system is deac vated.
Choosing "DingDong" or Siren sound
In deac vated mode, short press the Melody-bu on on the X4 siren or the
S-bu on on the remote control to switch between "DingDong"-sounds and
siren sound. The order of the sounds is Low volume "DingDong" – High volume
"DingDong" – Siren (120dB). A short example of the sound will be played each
me the sound type is changed.
IMPORTANT: Changes to the X4 siren se ngs can only be performed when the
X4 is in deac vated mode. If you try to make changes to the X4 while the
system is in ac vated mode, you will hear three beeps as a refusal sound.
When the siren alarm sounds
When the X4 PIR sensor or external sensors trigger an alarm in siren mode, the
alarm will sound for 2 minutes. A er that, the siren stops and the X4 returns
into ac vated mode again automa cally. The siren can, of course, be stopped
at any me with the remote control or on the X4 unit itself.
Stopping an alarm
The alarm can be stopped at any me. There are two ways to stop the alarm.
Stop the alarm by short pressing the Deac va on bu on on the remote control.
Alterna vely, you can also stop the alarm on the X4 alarm unit by entering the
following bu on combina on: 3 consecu ve quick presses of the
Loudspeaker-bu on followed by a quick press of the SET-bu on.
