Remote Programming
This feature will allow you to change the configuration data of the BGSM-G from remote locations. This procedure is not a Teleservice
operation, as it will not allow you to view the current configuration of the remote device, but only to send SMS text messages to reconfigure
it. Work carefully through the following steps:
1. Using the PC software console, load the configuration data of the respective Customer;
2. Make any necessary changes but DO NOT SAVE the new configuration;
3. Obtain Remote Programming authorization from the Customer, by sending an SMS text message (containing the respective Access
Code) to the BGSM-G concerned, as follows: #AccessCode#*PRG*;
, , , , ,
Note: Once the remote unit receives the authorization SMS, the RED and YELLOW LEDs will blink during the
Remote Programming session
4. Select Programming->Remote from the PC SW console menu;
5. Select the Customer from the upper window;
6. Click View All — if you want to reconfigure the BGSM-G completely or Match — if you want to send SMS text messages in order
to make changes;
7. The lower window shows a list of SMS text messages which will allow you to program the BGSM-G from remote locations. These
messages can be sent via cellphone, in this case you do not need to connect a BGSM-G to your PC;
8. Select the SMS you want to send on the first column: a tick sign (9 9 9 9 9 ) means that the relative SMS will be sent;
9. Click on the Download button and go to the next step;
10. On the next window, enter the telephone number of the remote BGSM-G that must be programmed;
11. Click on the Call button to call the remote BGSM-G and send the selected SMS;
12. Once completed, close the Remote Programming session by sending an SMS text message (containing the respective Access Code)
to the BGSM-G concerned, as follows: SMS #AccessCode#**;
13. Save the new configuration;
14. When the remote programming of the BGSM-G is closed, it will send back an SMS to the number that sent it the closing command with
a list of the programmed SMS, as show in the following table:
