–– ADVANCED FUNCTIONS ––
(for expert users only)
11 - Other transmitter uses
The advanced product functions are found in the
menu "Output configuration" To access this menu,
proceed as follows:
01. Turn on the display and press any key (the user screen
is displayed).
02. Press and hold the key ° until a number of icons are
di splayed then release the key (the programming screen
is displayed).
03. Select the icon "Output configuration" and confirm by
pressing °.
A sub-menu is displayed with 4 items. The advanced
functions here include: "Manual commands", "Light
activation", and "Thermostat".
These functions enable control, by means of the same
transmitter, of automations belonging to other applications,
different from those described up to chapter 10 of the
manual. These new applications may be, for example, ga -
tes, garage doors, garden lights, garden irrigation systems,
air conditioning systems etc.
The functions can control automations of these applica-
tions by each using an "auxiliary" radio code, which is dif-
ferent from the base code of the transmitter. This is possi-
ble thanks to the option of enabling 3 supplementary trans-
mission codes on the same transmitter, in addition to the
base code, which is always active.
In detail, the characteristics and applications of each func-
tion are as follows:
• "Manual commands" – activation of this function ena -
bles the association of three manual commands (Open,
Stop, Close) with other automations from those stated
up to chapter 10 of the manual. In particular the function
enables manual control of automations for gates, garage
doors and similar equipment. Caution! – activation of
this function no longer enables the use of manual com-
mands for the automations described in chapter 10 in
the manual (i.e. for shutters, sun screens, outdoor sun
awnings or similar). These will be moved exclusively by
commands sent automatically by the transmitter.
9 – English
• "Light activation if this function is active, the "Dawn/
Dusk" function must also be activated, present in the me -
nu "Parameters" (see chapter 10).
When the "light activation" function is active, the system
uses the value of the threshold set in the function "Dawn/
Dusk" as an on/off switch to turn on and off automations
associated with applications such as garden lighting,
garden irrigation systems and similar equipment. Cau-
tion! – activation of this function no longer enables the
use of the function "Dawn/Dusk" for the automations
described up to chapter 10 of the manual (i.e. for shutters,
sun screens, outdoor sun awnings or similar).
• "Thermostat" – activation of this function enables the
system to use the set temperature threshold as an on/off
switch to activate or deactivate an air conditioning sys-
tem or similar device. To use this function, the "Season"
function must also be programmed in the menu "Para-
meters" (see chapter 10), setting the option "Summer" or
"Winter", according to the climate and the period of year
in which the transmitter is used.
11.1 - Advanced function configuration
To configure a function from those available, the item must
first be activated in the transmitter, assigning it with an aux-
iliary code ("00", "01", "02" or "03") and lastly this code
must be memorised in the receiver associated with the
application to be automated.
In general the following should be taken into account.
a) The item "Automations" displayed in the list of the menu
"Output configuration" is not an advanced function and
therefore cannot be programmed as such.
The item is always active as it represents the base func-
tion of the transmitter (that described up to chapter 10
of the manual for applications such as shutters, sun
screens, outdoor sun awnings or similar).
Thepresence of the item in the list of advanced functions
only serves to enable integral reading of the base code
of the transmitter strictly related to the item (to display this,
select the item and confirm selection by means of °).
The associated with the base code is also confirmed by
display of the value "00" alongside the item. In fact, this
value symbolically represents the base code.
b) The factory setting of the auxiliary code "00" is also
assigned to the functions "Manual commands", "Light
activation" and "Thermostat". With this configuration the
first two functions will control the automations on which
the base code is memorised (i.e. shutters, sun screens,
outdoor sun awnings and similar), which the function
"Thermostat" will be deactivated;
c) the auxiliary codes "01", "02" and "03" symbolically rep-
resent a "new" code, formed by the base code in crea -
sed respectively by one or more units.
Example: if the base code is 42865375 (represented by
"00"), the remaining auxiliary codes will be: 42865376 (if
"01" is selected); 42865377 (if "02" is selected); 42865378
(if "03" is selected).
Activation of one of the functions, as mentioned, is by
assigning an auxiliary code to the item. Therefore, on the
basis of the assigned code, each function could activate
a different receiver, and in the same way, two or more
functions could activate the same receiver.
Therefore selection of the auxiliary codes for association
and selection of the advanced functions to be activated
enables optimal flexibility of product applications.
To configure a function, proceed as follows:
01. Select the menu "Output configuration" and confirm
by pressing °.
02. In the sub-menu, select the function to be configured
from those available ("Manual commands", "Light acti-
vation", "Thermostat") and confirm selection by press-
ing °.
03. In the next screen, select the required auxiliary code
by means of keys p and q. The values "00", "01",
"02" or "03" are available.
CAUTION! – To activate the function "Manual com -
mands" with an auxiliary code other than "00",
remember that the function will no longer be avail-
able for the function "Automations". Therefore, me -
morisation of the function "Automations" in the re -
ceiver of the corresponding automation, this must
be performed BEFORE changing (in the "manual
commands" function) the auxiliary code "00" to
another value.
04. Confirm the new value by pressing °.
11.2 - Memorising auxiliary codes in the selected
automation
To memorise the auxiliary codes "01", "02" or "03", pro-
