–– FIRST PART ––
for the user and installer
1 - Warnings for safe and correct oper-
ation (fig. A)
• Only install the product in indoor or protected environ-
ments.
• Do not wet the product with liquid substances and keep
it away from steam and excessive humidity.
• Never install the product close to direct sources of heat,
such as air conditioners, radiators, heaters etc.
2 - Description of the product and
destination of use
WMS01ST is a radio transmitter that mainly enables control
of Nice automations for shutters, sun screens and sun aw -
nings. The command can be sent by the user, using the
tran smitter keys (manual mode), or can be sent automatical -
ly by the same transmitter (automatic mode). The latter is the
main feature of the product and is based on data read by a
brightness sensor and temperature sensor, both integrated
in the product, which enable automatic control by the trans-
mitter of opening and closing of the sun screen, ensuring
optimal comfort in the installation environment protecting the
area and relative objects from harmful direct sunlight.
The integrated brightness sensors (front and rear) enable
installation of the product in two different configurations,
which in each scenario offer various options with specific
automatic commands.
A secondary use of the product is the possibility of control-
ling, by enabling a number of special functions, other au to -
ma tions, such as those for gates, garage doors, garden li -
gh ting, air conditioning systems etc. (see chapter "Ad van -
ced Functions").
All the stated automations must operate at a frequency of
433.92 MHz and must use "Flor" radio encoding (Nice stan -
dard).
1 – English
All other use is prohibited! The manufacturer declines all
responsibility for damage/injury caused to objects/per-
sons deriving from improper use of the product, differ-
ent to that described in this manual.
2.1 - Parts of the product (fig. 1)
1) - Data display.
2) - Keys with various functions (see chapter 5).
3) - Front light sensor.
4) - Rear light sensor.
5) - Temperature sensor.
6) - Battery compartment.
3 - Display switch-on/off
The display switches-on by pressing any key and switch-
es-off automatically after 30 seconds from when the last
key is pressed.
4 - The product screens
4.1 - The user screen (fig. 2)
On display switch-on, the user screen appears, made up
from the following elements:
a) "Intensity" Bar: shows the intensity of the light cap-
tured by the sensor.
b) Minimum light value (total darkness).
c) Maximum light value (blinding sun).
d) Light intensity value measured in real time.
e) Value in centigrade of temperature measured in real
time.
f)
Symbol: appears when the battery is running out.
g)
Symbol: appears when access to the programming
environment is blocked.
h)
Symbol: appears when the transmitter is in "Manual
pause".

4.2 - The programming screens
The programming environment is formed by several screens.
To access the first screen, with the display on, hold the ° key
down until the icons appear and then release the key. To
operate in the programming environment, refer to chapter 10.
4.3 - "Light set" Bar (fig. 2A)
Shows the points in which the intervention thresholds are
positioned and the amplitude of the hysteresis area (see
chapter 10 - "Light hysteresis" function).
f) UPPER threshold (corresponds to the right end of the cur-
sor): when the light intensity increases and exceeds this
threshold, the system automatically controls the move-
ment of the sun screen with the purpose of decreasing the
light in the environment.
g) LOWER threshold (corresponds to the left end of the
cursor): when the light intensity decreases and exceeds
this threshold, the system automatically controls the
movement of the sun screen with the purpose of
increasing the light in the environment.
h) Minimum and maximum limit (not visible) within which it
is possible to shift the cursor-thresholds.
i) hysteresis area: it is the space between the two thres -
holds.
