3. Connection notes
3.1. Mains connection and line protection
Caution: Never work when voltage is present!
Danger!
• The rated control supply voltage and control voltage inputs must be operated with power supply
modules in acc. with DIN 19240 (max. 5% residual ripple)!
• In order to avoid the inductive or capacitive decoupling of disturbing pulses with long control lines, we
recommend the use of shielded lines.
If you want to clamp two conductors under one terminal point, you must use a
conductor with the same conductor cross-section.

3.3. T-BUS DIN rail connector
When using the T-BUS DIN rail connector
(Order No.: 2707437) for INTERFACE system
communication and /or voltage supply of individual
modules, you plug the required number of T-BUS and
press them into the DIN rail.
Please ensure that the module is positioned in the
correct alignment to the T-BUS on the DIN rail (Fig. 3).

Installing the devices on and removing them from the
T-BUS is only permitted if they are not live.
Voltage can be supplied to EM-PB-GATEWAY-IFS or via
the T-BUS by means of the system power supply unit.
4. Function
4.1. Status LEDs
Five LEDs visualize the various operating states of the gateway:

The EM-PB-GATEWAY-IFS supports active extensions such as the USB programming adapter IFS-
USB-PROG-ADAPTER (Order No.: 2811271) as well as an optional "memory stick" IFS-CONFSTICK.
