To protect the air tool against damage,
contamination and corrosion, the sup-
plied compressed air should be puri-
fied from foreign particles and mois-
ture. It is recommended to use special devices (filters,
dehumidifiers or specific air preparation units).
• CT38085, CT38116, CT38083, CT38084 - extract
plug 7 (see fig. 4.1).
• Screw in quick-removable connector 9 into inlet
connector 6 (see fig. 3.1, 4.2). When screwing in quick-
removable connector 9, it is recommended to hold inlet
connector 6 using an open-ended spanner
• Connect the air hose with the quick-remova-
ble adapter to quick-removable connector 9 (see
fig. 3.2, 4.3). Make sure that the air hose is securely
fixed on quick-removable connector 9 (the quick-re-
movable adapter on the air hose should snap).
Initial operation of the air tool
• Check before each using of the tightness of all
threaded connections, as well as the tightness of
connections and hoses
• Add oil into the air tool, strictly observing the
recommendations set out in the clause "Air tool
maintenance / preventative measures"
Switching the air tool on / off
Air tool should be pre-connected to the compressor.
Switching on:
Press and hold the on / off switch 5
Switching off:
Release the on / off switch 5
Design features of the air tool
Changing the rotational directions and torque
value (see fig. 5-7)
Move combination switch 3 only after a
complete stop of rotating parts of the air
tool.
Clockwise rotation - move combination switch 3 as
shown in figures 5.1, 5.3, 6.1, 6.3, 7.1. By rotating
combination switch 3, you also select the torque value
(the torque steps are indicated with digits on switch 3
or the air tool body).
Counter clockwise rotation - move combination
switch 3 as shown in figures 5.2, 5.4, 6.2, 6.4, 7.2.
By rotating combination switch 3, you also select the
torque value (the torque steps are indicated with digits
on switch 3 or the air tool body).
Recommendations
operation
Sometimes, after the long idle time,
the air tool may not turn on, in this
case it is necessary to turn off the
air supply and manually rotate de-
on
the
air
tool
vice 1 that holds accessories several times, and
after that re-enable the air tool.
• Connect the air tool to the compressor as described
above
• Select the rotation direction as well as the
torque value by using combination switch 3 You
can choose the torque value by practical testing.
After screwing, it is recommended to check the
tightening
torque
wrench
• Install socket wrench 11 onto the fastener
head Note: install socket wrench 11 onto the
fastener head only when the air tool is turned
off.
• Turn on the air tool and perform twisting or untwisting
You can choose the operating duration when screwing
by practical testing
• Turn off the air tool and remove socket wrench 11
from the fastener head
Air tool maintenance / preventative
measures
Before execution of any procedures, disconnect
air tool from compressor.
Grid cleaning (see fig. 3.1, 4.2)
Regularly clean the grid installed inside inlet connec-
tor 6
• Unscrew
quick-removable
fig. 3.1, 4.2).
• Remove dust and contamination from the grid
• Screw in quick-removable connector 9 as described
above
Air tool lubrication (see fig. 8-10)
Water and pollution particles in the compressed
air cause corrosion and lead to the wear of
blades, valves, etc To prevent the mentioned, the
air tool should be lubricated before / after every
using
• Put a few drops of oil (use oil 46#) from oiler 8 into
inlet connector 6 (see fig. 8-9).
• Connect the air tool to the compressor and turn it on
for 5-10 seconds
• In CT38112, CT38113, CT38115, CT38114 models,
the oil may bleed out of holes 14 - wipe it with a
cloth
[CT38085, CT38116, CT38083, CT38084]
• Unscrew threaded plug 4 using Allen key 10
• Add the 10 ml of oil (use oil 46#).
• Screw in threaded plug 4 using Allen key 10
