- The stove works with one cartridge per burner. Insert one
or two cartridges as required (Fig. 4).
- Check that the gas supply is fully turned off by turning
the control knob (1) clockwise as far as the handle (fig.
2). Well tighten the wheel to ensure that the gas is
completely turned off.
- Hold the stove (caution - it may be hot!) and gently
screw the cartridge onto the stove clockwise until you
hear a click (about one sixth of a turn) (Fig. 5). Do not
tighten the cartridge further, as you may damage its
valve.
C - USE
Additional instructions:
Never use your equipment at a distance of less than
25 cm from a wall or combustible object.
Should it leak (smell of gas), close the tap.
Position the equipment on a stable, horizontal
surface and do not move when in use so as to avoid
the appearance of large flames resulting from the
combustion of liquid butane rather than vaporised
butane.
Should this occur, position the equipment and turn
the tap off.
Set the cooker at low power when using flat metallic
ustensils such as a toaster or a rack for toasting
bread.
Never use your equipment without having first
assembled the legs.
Lighting (Fig. 6)
- Hold a flame close to the burner (5) and gradually turn
on the gas by turning the control knob (1) anticlockwise.
Cooking with a saucepan
If the stove has been used with the cooking plates,
remove them (making sure that they are cold).
Position the pan on the arms centred over the burner and
adjust the gas flow so that the flames do not burn higher
than the pan.
D - REMOVING THE CARTRIDGE
The cartridge may be removed without being empty.
- Wait for the stove to cool down.
- Check that the gas inlet is fully closed by turning the two
control knobs (1) clockwise as far as they will go ("-"
direction of the arrow) (Fig. 2).
- Make sure that the two burners (5) are extinguished.
- Hold the equipment, the unscrew the cartridge by
turning it anti-clockwise and remove it (Fig. 10).
- Repeat this for the second cartridge if necessary.
- The equipment is ready for use.
In the event of leakage (smell of gas prior to turning the
tap on), take the equipment outside immediately, in a
well-ventilated area with no combustion source, where
the leak can be located and halted. If you wish to check
that your equipment is correctly sealed, do so outside.
Never attempt to locate leaks using a flame. Use gas
leak solution.
Cooking with the plates (Camping Duo™ Grill CV)
- Install the grease tray (3) in its housing between the two
burners (Fig. 7).
- Position the cooking plates (4) as indicated in Figure 8.
The roundest parts face outwards (Fig. 9).
- Check that the grease evacuation hole from the grooved
plate is well centred in the stove, just above the grease
tray (Fig. 9).
We recommend that you use gloves for this installation.
The grooved cooking plate is intended for grilling.
The smooth cooking plate is intended for eggs.
The grill plate may be oiled lightly to prevent food sticking
during cooking.
Adjust the gas flow rate to suit the type of cooking.
Switching off
- Close the tap by turning the control knob (1) clockwise
as far as it will go (direction "-" of the arrow). Well
tighten the wheel to ensure that the gas is completely
turned off (fig. 2).
Never throw away a cartridge which is not completely
empty, (check there is no liquid in the cartridge by
shaking it).
