7.1 - CLEANING

7.1.1 -

APPLIANCE AND REMOTE CONTROL CLEANING

Use a dry cloth to clean the appliance and the remote control.
it is possible to use a cloth moistened with cold water to clean the appliance if it is very dirty.
Suck between the air inlet and outlet grilles.
Do not use a chemically treated or antistatic cloth to clean the appliance.
Do not use gasoline, solvent, polish or similar solvents.
These products could cause the breakage or deformation of the plastic surface.
7.1.2 -

CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

To ensure effective internal air filtration and satisfactory operation of your air
conditioner, the air filter has to be cleaned periodically.
The air filter is at the top of the unit.
UNICO filter extraction:
a.
electrically disconnect the appliance.
b. Switch off the unit and wait for the closure of the suction flap.
c. Manually raise the air suction grille (3) (fig. 43).
d. Raise the front part of the filter (F) and slightly pull it towards yourself (fig. 43).
e. Extract the two additional filters (fig. 44) from the filter group (F):
(green purifying filter ref. F1 - black active carbons filter ref. F2).
f. Perfectly wash and dry all the filters.
Filter reassembly:
g. Reassemble the filters group (F1-F2) inserting the rear edge inside the grid.
h. RManually close the air suction grille (3) (fig. 45).
to deactivate leD a (if on), after having powered and started the appliance, press the micro key positioned on
the signal console with a pointy object for a brief instant. By doing so, the signal related to the filter cleaning
requirement is reset.
WALL filter extraction:
a. Lift the indoor unit panel up to an angle until it stops with a clicking sound (fig. "40").
b. Take hold of the handle of the air filter and lift it up slightly to take it out from the filter holder (fig. "40a"),
then pull it downwards (figura "40b").
c. Remove the air filter.
d. Clean the air filter using a suction device or wash it with water and then dry it in a cool place.
e. Remove the electrostatic filter (if supplied) and the active carbon filter (if supplied) from the air filter.
Do not touch this Electrostatic Filter within 10 minutes after opening the inlet grille,
it may cause an electric shock.
f. Clean the electrostatic filter with mild detergent or water and dry in the sunlight for two hours.
g. Insert the electrostatic filter again (if supplied) + the active charcoal filter (if supplied).
h. Insert the upper part of the air filter into the unit, paying attention that the left and right edges are correctly
aligned and then re-position the filter in the relevant seat (figure "40c").
i. Close the panel well, taking it back to its original position (figure "42").
