Instrument operation is only by the button.
Setting the alarm setpoints before commissioning
(1) Instrument must be turned off.
(2) Remove and re-attach battery.
(2) Press and hold the button for 3 seconds.
• "ON" displays during this time.
• "ALARM", "SET" and "?" are displayed.
(3) To change the setpoints, press the button once while
"ALARM" "SET" and "?" are displayed.
• Software version displays for 3 seconds.
• Gas type displays for 3 seconds
("CO", "CO+" (Steel Mill version), " H
The following setpoints are displayed for 3 seconds
• Low Alarm Setpoint ("LO", "ALARM")
• High Alarm Setpoint ("HI", "ALARM")
• Short Term Exposure Limits ("STL")
• Time Weighted Average ("TWA")
(4) By pressing the button increase the value for the selected
setpoint, until the desired value is reached.
(5) Release the button and wait 3 seconds.
Turning ON the instrument
(1) Press and hold the button for 3 seconds until "ON" displays.
• All display indicators are activated, acoustic alarm sounds,
alarm LEDs light up, vibration alarm is triggered, gas type
and alarm setpoints are displayed for 3 seconds each.
(2) If Calibration Due is enabled:
• "DUE" and hourglass display for 3 seconds.
• The instrument beeps and flashes "CAL" "DUE" until
calibration is performed.
(3) Release the button
(4) User is prompted for Fresh Air Setup
After successful commissioning, the instrument displays gas
reading, "%" or "PPM" icon (depending on instrument type) and
battery indicator.
Function tests
The function test must be conducted before each use. If the
function test fails, calibrate the instrument.
