The fixture is not a dusk-to-dawn light. The fixture has a built-in dusk-to-dawn sensor that prevents the motion sensor from activating during daylight hours.

The MINUTES control determines the length of time the lights stay on.
When the MINUTES control is set between 1 and 10, the light will only

DO NOT POSITION THE SENSOR WITH THE CONTROLS FACING UPWARD.
The position of the sensor should not exceed 45° below horizontal. Do not aim
the motion sensor at any water, bushes or plants that may move in the wind,
pedestrian traffic, moving cars, etc., as this may trigger the motion sensor.
(Fig. 2)
NOTE: If the sensor arm becomes loose, readjust the sensor head and
tighten the joint screw on the sensor arm.

Turn the AREA LIGHT MODE control knob to either 3 hrs, 5hrs or Dusk-to-Dawn. The 3 hrs setting turns
the Area Light on at dusk for a duration of 3 hours. The 5 hrs setting turns the Area Light on at dusk for a
duration of 5 hours. The Dusk-to-Dawn setting turns the Area Light on at dusk for the duration of the

night until it shuts off at dawn. The OFF setting disables the area light feature completely, and fixture
operates strictly as a security light triggered by the motion sensor (PIR).

Rotate the MINUTES control knob to TEST to calibrate the fixture. Both lights will turn on for
approximately 20 seconds.
(Low Beam)
With the control knob still on TEST, do a "walk by test" by walking in front of the motion sensor (as
10
indicated in Fig. 1 below). As movement is detected, the lights will activate. Stop and the lights shut

off approximately 5 seconds after movement is no longer detected in the sensor's field. Continue
walking and the lights should once again turn on. Once out of the detection range, the lights will shut
off and the test is complete. IF THE TEST FAILS, try readjusting the sensor head. Sensor head can be
adjusted either up or down, or left or right. Once fixture is tested, set middle control knob to desired
time the light stays on once motion is detected.

Rotate the MINUTES control knob clockwise past the TEST area to control the length of time the lights
will remain on. The time settings of 1 (1 min.), 5 (5 min.) and 10 (10 min.) are marked. However, the
MINUTES control knob can be set anywhere from 1 minute up to 10 minutes. The time length can be
adjusted up or down. DO NOT rotate the MINUTES control knob back to the TEST area.

Rotate the RANGE control knob anywhere from 5 Ft to MAX. (100 ft).

When the RANGE control knob is turned to 5 Ft, the detection zone is
very tight and compact, causing the detection sensitivity to be very
high. The reverse is true, when the RANGE control knob is turned to
10
MAX, the detection zone increases exponentially with sensitivity being

field at the approximate distance set on the RANGE control knob (Fig. 1) .

Align the center holes of the fixture and mounting strap (attached to the
J-box). Insert the long machine screw (CC) through the fixture's center hole
and drive into the strap. Restore power to the electrical box and verify the
light functions properly.
For round surface mount junction boxes make sure the gasket (GG) properly seals the gap
between the wall plate and electrical box to prevent water from seeping into the j-box.
For recessed mount junction boxes, use silicone adhesive caulking (not included) to seal the gap
between the wall plate and the mounting surface to prevent water seepage into the j-box.
If the light is functioning properly, install the silicone cap (EE) into the center
hole on the fixture base to prevent water from entering the housing.

MOTION SENSOR
The 240-degree coverage of the motion sensor is measured side-to-side.
The sensor is more effective side-to-side, rather than motion coming
straight at it (in-and-out). Adjust the motion sensor head so that it detects
motion moving across the coverage area.
