Loosen the fastening screws of the x-axis 2 until they can be shifted horizon-
tally.
x-axis 2 can be fastened in alignment with x-axis 1 both in height and horizon-
tally (parallelism).

Proceed with the alignment as follows:
1. Push both x-axis slides into the same
end position by hand.
2. Place the y-axis on the x-axes with the
aid of the fastening elements.
3. Loosen the fastening screws for adjust-
ing the height of x-axis 2 and adjust
the height with respect to x-axis 1.
4. Tighten the fastening screws for adjusting the height.
5. Loosen the fastening screws for transverse fastening.
6. Push the y-axis backwards and forwards over the complete positioning path
of the axes.
7. Tighten the fastening screws for transverse fastening.
Note
If the metal bellows of the coupling are
damaged, it will probably not be possible
to synxchronize the axes.

Check to see whether the metal bellows of
the coupling show any signs of buckling,
dents or bending.
A coupling with such damage cannot be
used further.
