Caution: Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before
beginning any installation. All accessories, switches, and especially air bag indicator
lights must be plugged in before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition.
*Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio.
Connections to be made
From the XSVI-AU2 harness to the aftermarket radio
(a) From the 12-pin harness:
• Connect the Red wire to the accessory wire.
• Connect the Orange wire to the illumination wire, if the aftermarket radio has
no illumination wire, tape off the Orange wire.
The following wires are for aftermarket multimedia/navigation radios that provide
these wires (if not required, tape them off and disregard them):
• Connect the Light Green wire to the parking brake wire, if applicable.
• Connect the Green/Purple wire to the reverse wire, if applicable.
• Connect the Blue/Pink wire to the speed sense (V.S.S.) wire, if applicable.
(b) From the 16-pin harness:
• Connect the Black wire to the ground wire.
• Connect the Yellow wire to the battery wire.
For non-BOSE systems:
• Connect the White wire to the left front positive speaker output.
• Connect the White/Black wire to the left front negative speaker output.
• Connect the Gray wire to the right front positive speaker output.
• Connect the Gray/Black wire to the right front negative speaker output.
Tape off and disregard the following wires, they will not be used in this application:
• The Green, Green/Black, Purple, Purple/Black wire.
