Differential Pressure Controls Series
FD113 uses the pressure differential between the 2
inputs to operate an electrical switch. For application
in
refrigeration
and
air-conditioning
according to EN378. E.g. Compressor oil pressure
control.
!
Safety instructions:
• Read
installation
instructions
Failure to comply can result in device failure,
system damage or personal injury.
• It is intended for use by persons having the
appropriate knowledge and skill.
• Before opening any system make sure pressure
in system is brought to and remains at
atmospheric pressure.
• Ensure supply voltage and current of electric
device match rating on FD113 name plate.
Disconnect supply voltage from system and
FD113 before installation or service.
• Do not exceed test pressure.
• Keep temperatures within nominal limits.
• Do not apply torsional force to switch housing
assembly during assembly (Fig. 5).
Differential Pressure Setting: (Fig. 0 - 2)
The cut-out pressure can be adjusted between 0.3 bar
and 4.5 bar (factory setting: 0.7 bar). Cut-in pressure
is fixed 0.2 bar above cut-out pressure.
Reset:
FD113 and FD113A are automatically reset, FD113
ZU have to be manually reset with the reset button
(Fig.0 - 3).
Time Delay Setting (FD113(A) ZU only):
The Time delay is continuously adjustable between
20 and 150 s (see Fig. 0 - 4).
Function / Type of switch (see Fig. 1):
Differential pressure controls.
Mounting direction:
FD113 can be mounted in any direction, preferably
with pressure connections vertically.
Pressure connection (see Fig. 5):
Apply Teflon sealant to adapter thread.

Operating Instructions
FD113
Leakage test:
After completion of installation, a test pressure must
systems
be carried out as follows:
- According to EN378 for systems which must
comply with European pressure equipment directive
97/23/EC
- To maximum working pressure of system for other
applications
thoroughly.
Warning:
- Failure to do so could result in loss of refrigerant
and personal injury.
- The pressure test must be conducted by skilled
persons with due respect regarding the danger
related to pressure.
Maintenance/Service:
In case of repair work or replacing the control
always use new sealant.
Electrical connection (Fig. 1, 2, 3, 4):
Note: Comply with local electrical regulations
when wiring. Wire size must be suitable for electric
device connected to the FD113.
Wiring FD113 ZU, FD113A ZU (acc. to Fig.

Test FD113, FD113A:
Pushing lever 1 (Fig. 0) upwards simulates a
pressure rise at the HP side. Pushing lever down
during operation simulates a lack of HP.
Test FD113 ZU, FD113A ZU:
When testing "Fault-circuit" = low oil pressure,
observe safety precautions.
Use screwdriver to press lever 1 (Fig. 0) for the
delay time-setting (>20s ... >150s) to the lower stop.
The test is to be repeated occasionally, being carried
out when regular plant inspections takes place. After
tripping, reset with button 3 (Fig 0).
