WARNING: Ensure the electrical outlet box is grounded
properly.
WARNING: Hazardous voltage. Risk of electric shock,
personal injury, or death. Ground the pump properly before
plugging in to power. The pump includes a 3-conductor
grounding-type power cord. Connect only to a properly
grounded, GFCI- protected outlet.
WARNING: A qualified electrician should do all wiring.
WARNING: Turn off the power to the pump outlet box
before unplugging the pump power cord. After the plug is
pulled, allow the pump to cool for 20 minutes before
servicing the unit.
WARNING: Exercise extreme care when replacing fuses.
To reduce the risk of fatal electric shock, NEVER stand in
water or put anything in the fuse socket except the proper
fuse.
WARNING: Never run the pump dry. This can damage
internal parts, overheat the pump (which can burn people
who touch or service the pump), and void the warranty.
WARNING: The pump is not designed to be submersible.
Always keep the motor dry and protect it from wet weather.
Never wash the motor or immerse it in water.
CAUTION: Hazardous pressure. If using a garden hose as
a discharge line, never use the pump with the hose outlet or
nozzle closed. The hose or nozzle may burst from too much
pressure.
