Maintenance
CAUTION!
Use only Nederman original spare parts and accessories.
Perform the following maintenance regularly or at least once a year.
•
Check the spring function by testing if the hose recoils properly.
•
Check that swivel and hose couplings don't leak.
•
Change the seal if required. Clean the swivel and couplings.
•
Check the reel's external seals. If any are cracked, all are to be replaced.
•
Check that the hose is intact. Clean the hose if dirty.
•
Dismantle the hose outlet and clean the parts manually.
•
Check the ratchet mechanism.
•
Check the mounting of the reel on wall or ceiling.
6.1
Changing the hose or swivel
WARNING!
Make sure to perform bullets 1-3 before starting any operation in the reel:
1.
Turn off the supply of media (water).
2.
Pull the hose out completely.
3.
Engage the safety loop, see figure 8.
4.
Remove existing hose or swivel.
5.
Fit a new hose or swivel.
6.
Fit the intake hose on the swivel.
7.
Fit suitable outlet gun on the distribution
8.
Turn on the supply of media (water).
