DESCRIPTION

System for installations of ALCAD’s conventional video door entry equipment (6+N+coaxial), enabling calls made from the entrance
panel to be received and managed via a personal computer (PC).
The system consists of an interface-element which serves as a link between the entrance panel and the PC and of a software
application, called "VideoPortero PC", which allows the user to interact with the system via the PC.
Like other additional elements, it requires a sound card, a card with composite video input and multimedia elements to establish
audio communication with the entrance panel.
Note: The PC on which the PC video door entry system is installed must meet certain minimum requirements. Please see “Minimum
Requirements” on page 5.
Features:
Offers the possibility of receiving and managing calls from the entrance panel on several PC’s simply by installing the interface-
element on each computer.
Offers the possiblity of installing the PC video door entry system in the same house or flat alongside telephones associated to the
same call wire. It is possible to install up to 4 devices per house or flat.
Connection consists of:
- Connection of the video door entry system.
5 wires for the reception of call tones, audio and door opening, 2 wires to supply power to the interface element, and coaxial
cable for the reception of the signal from the video unit.
- Connection with the PC.
Connection by means of a USB-USB cable, to control the interface-element from the computer and to transmit the call tones to the
computer, connection by means of an RCA-RCA cable, to transmit the signal from the video unit, Minijack connections for the
transmission of the audio signal, both from the entrance panel to the dwelling and from the dwelling to the entrance panel.
Auto switch-on feature, which allows you to see the image captured by the entrance panel video unit, to communicate with the
entrance panel and to open the door without first having to receive a call.
Manual screenshot feature, which allows you at any time to save the image captured by the entrance panel video unit.
Automatic screenshot feature, which allows you to take a picture of the caller. All the screenshots taken are stored on the hard disk
of the computer. It is possible to configure the maximum number of screenshots stored and the moment at which the screenshot will
be taken, i.e. the time that elapses from the moment the call is received until the image is captured.
Visitor’s Book feature, with all the screenshots that have been taken as well as the time and date of each shot.
Automatic door-opening feature. This feature allows you to activate the electric lock automatically when you receive a call.
Unanswered calls notification feature.

computer (PC).
Accompanying the interface-element (1) are: a CD (2) containing the "VideoPortero PC" application and the drivers or controllers which
allow the interface-element to be used with a PC; a 1.5 metre USB type-A to type-A cable (3); a 1.5 metre RCA-RCA cable (4); and a
1.5 metre minijack-minijack cable (5).
