Commissioning
1. Please observe the limits for all loadings.
With work loads or high and medium slide speeds:
2. Use shock absorbers of sufficient size.
Depending on the size of the work mass, the DGEA-... will withstand maximum
speeds without shock absorbers as listed in the chapter "Characteristic
curves".
Please note
Masses which suddenly slide down may cause injury to people in the vicinity of
a DGEA-... .
3. Make sure that nobody can place his/her hand in the positioning range of
the moveable mass (e.g. by means of protective screens).
It should not be possible to touch the DGEA-... until it has come to a com-
plete stand.
4. Make sure that no objects lie in or project into the positioning range of the
moveable mass.
With work loads on the DGEA-... which project
longitudinally over the cantilever arm:
5. Make sure that the work load does not
strike against the drive head or the gear
motor when it moves into the end posi-
tion.
Ascertaining the direction of movement of the
cantilever arm:
6. Start a check movement limited to low dynamics.
For safety reasons, the cantilever arm always starts from a stable position.

In spite of equal control, even motors of the same type sometimes turn in the
opposite direction due to the circuitry.
