5.3.- ANTENNA CONNECTION

The efficiency of the antenna is essential for the efficiency of the radio
communications. In the market there are many manufacturers that supply
high quality antennas, and we advise the one that is more adapted to our
installation.
The antenna will be adjusted in order to present an impedance of 50 ohm to
the transmission frequency of the equipment.
Regarding the cable, a coaxial cable will be used, avoiding as far as possible
strong strech. The cable impedance will be of 50 Ohms.
The connection process will be the following:
1. Placement of the antenna in the base according to the setting conditions.
2. Put the suitable connections to join the antenna to the two PL female
connectors which are located in the rear part of the equipment
In the case of using duplexer, it is advised that the junction cables
between the repeater and this element must be included with this one,
owing to the fact of having the less possible insertion losses
