3.2 Double-Action Twist-Lock Carabiners

For operation and installation of Miller double-action style carabiners (17D-1, 17D-2, 18D-1, 18D-2),
follow the steps below and refer to Figure 1.
1. Twist carabiner gate as shown in Figure 1.
2. Open gate inward and make connection within the personal fall protection system as required.
3. Release the gate making sure that it closes completely and locks.

3.3 Triple-Action Twist-Lock Carabiners

For operation and installation of Miller triple-action style carabiners (17D-3, 17D-5) follow the steps
below and refer to Figure 2.
1. Push up on the gate as shown in Figure 2.
2. Twist carabiner gate as shown.
3. Open gate inward and make connection within the personal fall protection system as required.
4. Release the gate making sure that it closes completely and locks.
