4. Preparation for using the agate mixing palette
You have purchased a unique product.
Every agate mixing palette has its own indi-
vidual and natural grain or colouring, which
can differ slightly from the photo of the prod-
uct.
Natural stone palettes are susceptible to dis-
colouration, especially when mixing liquids
with an acid content are used.
An agate palette is a hand crafted, natural
product which can have divergencies in pal-
ette thickness from the production methods.
Due to this fact, we recommend using the
pre-assembled shorter rest plugs (9) on
thicker palettes. On thinner palettes, we
recommend exchanging the rest plugs with
the separately supplied taller rest plugs
(6, Fig. 1).
If the palette should still wobble slightly
when in position, please use the distance
discs (8) to level it out.
5. Care instructions
In order to maintain the consistent quality of the agate mixing palette, it is essential to
clean on a regular basis.
To clean, take the agate mixing palette out of the case base and brush under running
water, or clean carefully using a steam cleaner.
Clean the case using conventional detergent and then rinse thoroughly under running
water.
Do not clean using sharp edged, abrasive or solvent based materials.
Please only use soft brushes or cleaning cloths.
When using Tricolor stains it may happen that vaporized stains fluid etches the
plastic lid.
Do not clean the plastic lid with monomers or with liquids containing solvents!
