Rotary switch 1

Enables the selection of individual measurement modes
and different measurement ranges as well as switching
the appliance on and off.
The measuring tips are to be removed from the ob-
ject to be measured each time before changing the
measurement range or mode.
MODE button 2
For the selection of functions in the measurement modes
resistance, capacitance, continuity check and AC/DC mea-
surement.
HZ%-button 3
For choosing between frequency and duty cycle measurement in
the frequency measurement mode and for the alternative display
of frequency/duty cycle during AC current/voltage measurements.
RANGE button 4
For switching between automatic ('AUTO' on the display) and
manual measurement range selection. For manual measu-
rement range selection, select the range by repeatedly pres-
sing the button. To return to automatic measurement range
selection: Press the button for 2 seconds until 'AUTO' appears
on the display.

HOLD-button 5

The hold function freezes the current measured value on
the display (except when checking diodes and continuity).
Press the HOLD button briefly: 'HOLD' appears on the
display and the present measured value is frozen on the
display. To exit this measurement mode, press the HOLD
button again.
