The CPX I/O modules are intended for use only in CPX ter
minals. The I/O modules for CPX terminals each consist of
an electronic module which is fitted together with a com
binable sub−base in a manifold sub−base of the CPX ter
minal.
The maximum values specified in the section Technical
specifications" must be observed during operation. De
tailed information can be found in the manual for the CPX
I/O modules and pneumatic interfaces P.BE−CPX−EA−.. as
well as in the CPX system manual P.BE−CPX−SYS−.. .
Warning
S Before carrying out installation and maintenance
work, switch off the following:
the compressed air supply,
the operating and load voltage supplies.
S Connect an earth conductor of sufficient cross−sec
tional area to the connection on the CPX terminal
marked with the earth symbol.
S The I/O modules contain electrostatically sensitive
components. Do not therefore touch any contacts.
Observe the regulations for handling electrostatically
sensitive components.
Please note
Commission only a CPX terminal which has been fitted
and wired completely.
