how to set the system leVel
The installer, homeowner, or building science expert may adjust the
Broan SmartSense
ventilation level.
®
Out of the box or after a reset, the system defaults to a system level of
90.
initial setting of system level
1. Refer to Table A to determine System level. A home's System lev-
el is determined by the square footage and number of bedrooms.
2. The default factory setting for System level is 90.
3. Using the value for System level determined in step 1, reference
Table B to find the corresponding number of positive (+) or nega-
tive (-) clicks required to achieve a desired System level. Circle
the number of positive (+) or negative (-) clicks on Table B.
4. Enter Program Mode at the Master control (reference page 2 for
help entering Program Mode).
5. Press the Master control's paddle the number of positive (+) or
negative (-) clicks circled on Table B (reference step 3).
Example:
-2 clicks would require the bottom (Off) of the Master
control's paddle to be pressed twice.
+3 clicks would require the top (On) of the Master
control's paddle to be pressed three times.
6. When you have finished setting the System level, press and re-
lease SET button twice at the Master control to exit Program Mode.
Master control lEd will turn off after exiting Program Mode. There
will be an approx. 1.5 hour delay before the Broan Smartsense
program begins running.
