Working notes

Do not bend the reel cable! The cable may break!
Do not pull the reel cable over sharp edges! The cable may become damaged!
Never aim a stream of water at the front of the device (monitor/control panel)!
6.

Power connection

A new battery must be charged before first use (for about 7 hours).
When battery performance diminishes, connect the power adapter.
The power adapter can remain permanently connected. The battery cannot be overloaded. When
adequately charged, the charger automatically switches to trickle charge.
A fully charged battery allows about 3 to 4 hours of work independent of the power grid.
New batteries reach their full capacity after 4 to 5 charging and draining cycles. Recharge batte-
ries if they have not been used for a long time.
Temperatures above 50°C reduce battery performance. Avoid extended warming due to sun or
heating units.
7.

Changing the battery

Open the rear flap.
Insert the battery into the compartment on the right side of the accessory compartment until it
clicks. To remove, press the locks and pull the battery out.
8.

Cleaning

Always clean the device after every pipe inspection.
Turn off the device, remove the battery, and pull the electrical plug, if necessary.
Close the flap until it clicks.
Spray the reel cable and the underside with water to clean them. Spray the camera head with
water to clean it, before inserting it into the holder.
Never aim a stream of water at the front of the device (monitor/control panel)!
9.

Working with the device

Clean the pipe system before inspection.
1.
Press the button, open the flap, and snap it into place.
2.
Turn the device on with the monitor unit's left-hand push-button. The monitor unit can be
removed from the basic device for optimal viewing angle.
3.
Remove the camera head from the holder and roll the reel cable from the reel. The reel cable
is rigid and is under mechanical stress. Therefore, hold it firmly when unwinding from the
reel!
4.
Guide the camera head into the pipe system and carefully push it with the reel cable.
5.
For optimal results, a camera head (SL40) with a stronger light yield up to DN300 can be
screwed on. The camera heads are interchangeable.
Do not pull the reel cable over sharp edges, and do not bend it!
Wear work gloves!
For pipe diameters over 70 mm, install the guide body.
Always stand next to the reel cable!
