3. Secure the Cabinet
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Use care when
moving the cabinet to avoid impacting, sliding, or
side-loading the legs.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. The cabinet must be
secured to the wall to reduce the risk of tipping.
With assistance, lift and place the cabinet in the desired location
against the finished wall. Do not slide or side-load the legs.
Verify the cabinet is level and the back rails are plumb against the
wall. If necessary, turn the leveler(s) to adjust the unit.
Verify there is proper clearance around the cabinet for the door to
open fully.
IMPORTANT! If there is no stud present to secure the cabinet to
the wall, use 75 lb (34 kg) load bearing wall anchors. Drill the
anchor holes according to the anchor manufacturer's
recommendation.
Using a 1/4" drill bit, drill two pilot holes through each side of
the back rails and into the finished wall.
Secure the backside of the cabinet to the wall using four lag bolts
and washers.
