HOW TO FASTEN CHINSTRAP PROPERLY
To securely fasten the chinstrap, thread the end of the
chinstrap through the D-rings as illustrated and pull it
tight against your throat.
The chinstrap-end snap is provided on some models. It
allows the wearer to prevent the end of the strap from
flapping in the air stream.
WARNING:
The chinstrap-end snap is not part of the retention
system and should not be relied upon even when
carrying the helmet by the straps as it will release
easily under little stress.
A D-ring release tab is provided to make loosening of
the strap easier, simply pull as illustrated.
