PRODUCT GUARANTEE / INSTALLATION NORMS
6 – FLOOR PREPARATION
As any other synthetic base trays, Teka shower trays are elements with a certain elasticity
that allows them to stand perfectly the temperatures changes what demands precisely
that their placement be on a perfectly flat base, compact, smooth and levelled.
Before the tray placement, we must be sure the base is completely dry. If the
mortar is not dry, it can "pull" from fee tray bending it and even causing cracks.
The wet mortar can also prevent a next grabbing with the tray.
The base has to be made of mortar at least on its top part in touch with the tray.
Never sand alone because sand would end up compressing, yield and do not play
its function correctly.
If you want to speed up the installation, we recommend the use of quick concrete.
On the base, there should be two hollows only, for the shower waste and for the
drainage pipe.
7 – SHOWER WASTE PLACEMENT
 Once the shower waste is on its final position and connected to the pipe, tests
should be carried out to check water flows with fall enough and there are no leaks
in the installation.
★ PVC flexible pipe is recommended.
 Check that no element of the installation exceeds the base level; this would result
in an unstable position of the tray that ever could deform it.
★ Special care if shower waste remains over the base level.
