6.0 TO DEFLATE THE MATTRESS
1. Unzip the mattress cover to expose the fire barrier.
2. Unfold the fire barrier material from underneath the crib
assembly.
3. Slide the fire barrier to expose the pump assembly.
NOTE: Do not remove the tywrap around the cord.
4. Slide the thumb latch on the barb fitting located on the pump
assembly and then insert the male barb fitting (Gaymar P/N:
91367034). Repeat the process on the second barb fitting.
NOTE: It is helpful to push on the cells to expel air more quickly.
5. Once deflated, slide the thumb latch on the barb fitting to remove
the male barb fitting.
6. Pull the fire barrier over the crib and pump assembly.
a) For Sof•Care V-Mattress, fold the material on the left
side of the power cord under the mattress. Repeat the
same on the right side.
b) For Sof•Care Mattress, fold the material under the
mattress.
7. Zip the mattress cover closed.
7.0 TROUBLE SHOOTING CELLS:
1. Non-functioning cells can easily be spotted by looking for large
depressions on the mattress surface.

8.0 CLEANING AND CARE:

1. To clean, use soap and a clean damp cloth to wipe down the
power cord and mattress. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the
mattress. Wipe dry with a clean, dry cloth.
Note: Blood and other body fluids must be thoroughly
cleaned from all surfaces before applying disinfectants.
2. Apply disinfectant to the external surfaces of the control
unit, hoses and mattress. Allow to completely dry. The
solution contact time is what makes disinfection effective.
3. Wipe down the mattress with a clean, dry cloth to
remove any excess disinfectant.
