• Le numéro du module de contrôle, le mode, la séquence des codes d'erreurs, le nombre total de
codes détectés et le type de code (Générique ou spécifi que au constructeur, enregistrés ou en
attente) s'affi chent sur la partie haute de l'écran.
5. Si plus d'un code d'erreur a été détecté, utilisez la touche SCROLL pour affi cher les codes
suivants.
• Si les codes détectés contiennent des codes spécifi ques au constructeur automobile, un mes-
sage « Des codes spécifi ques au concessionnaire ont été trouvés ! Appuyez sur n'importe quelle
touche pour sélectionner une marque automobile ! » s'affi che. Vous devez sélectionner un
constructeur afi n d'accéder à la défi nition du code spécifi que. Utilisez la touche SCROLL pour
sélectionner un constructeur et appuyez sur la touche ENTRÉE pour confi rmer. Si la marque de
votre véhicule ne fi gure pas dans la liste, utilisez la touche SCROLL pour sélectionner AUTRES
et appuyez sur la touche ENTRÉE.
• Si la marque de votre véhicule ne fi gure pas dans la liste, utilisez la touche SCROLL pour sélec-
tionner AUTRES et appuyez sur la touche ENTRER.
6. Menu LECTURE CODES > Sélectionnez MENU PRÉ-
CÉDENT > Appuyez sur la touche ENTRÉE pour revenir
au menu précédent.
EFFACEMENT DES CODES
Cette fonction est à activer lorsque le moteur ne tourne pas (contact mis). Ne démarrez pas le
véhicule.
1. Menu DIAGNOSTIC
# EFFACER CODES
# Appuyez sur la touche ENTRÉE.
2. Un message s'affi che, vous demandant de confi rmer votre choix.
- Si vous ne souhaitez pas procéder à l'effacement des codes, utilisez la touche SCROLL pour
sélectionner NON et quitter.
Attendez quelques secondes ou appuyez sur n'importe quelle touche pour revenir au MENU DIA-
GNOSTIC.
3. Appuyez sur la touche ENTRÉE pour confi rmer.
- Si les codes sont correctement effacés, le message de confi rmation « EFFACEMENT EFFEC-
TUE » s'affi che à l'écran. La LED verte doit être allumée.
• Si les codes n'ont pas été effacés, un message « ÉCHEC DE L'EFFACEMENT. COUPEZ LE
MOTEUR ! » apparaît.

mode is not accessible.
4. VEHICLE INFORMATION menu
> Select some information available
> Press ENTER
5. The information retrieved from the vehicle is displayed on the screen.
6. VEHICLE INFORMATION Menu > PREVIOUS MENU > Press ENTER.
SHORTCUT FUNCTION - MONITOR STATUS
1. Diagnostic tool mode
The Diagnostic Tool mode is the default mode. In this mode, once all the vehicle's monitors are
activated and have completed the tests and diagnosis, the diagnostic tool fi nds the malfunc-
tions and trouble costs.
ATTENTION: only this mode allows you to perform the OBDII diagnosis.
2. Ready Test Mode
In this mode, once all the vehicle's monitors are activated and have completed the tests, the
diagnostic tool goes back to the previous screen.Thus, this mode is only used to start the au-
tomatic inspection of the vehicle's emission monitors.
ATTENTION: this function controls and analyses data relating to the vehicle's emission sys-
tems every two minutes. Once the diagnostic tool has completed other operations, such as, for
instance, clearing trouble codes,the live datastream has changed and the status monitors will
have changed accordingly. In order to reset these monitors, the vehicle must have performed
a complete drive cycle. The reset time depends on each vehicle.
DIAGNOSTIC TOOL MODE
FOR INFORMATION: only this mode allows you to perform the OBDII diagnosis.
To access this mode, follow the 4 steps of the I/M READINESS STATUS RETRIEVAL part.
The green, yellow and red LEDs enable you to quickly check whether or not the vehicle is ready
for the Emission Test. The light and sound indications must be interpreted as follows:
1. Green LED
indicates that the engine's systems are "OK" and operate correctly. (The number of monitors
supported by the vehicle were controlled within the acceptance criteria, the MIL light is off).
There are no trouble codes saved or pending. The vehicle is ready for the emission tests and
the diagnosis will probably be positive.
2. Yellow LED
With the warning lamp off, there are three conditions that can induce the yellow LED:
• If a "saved" code is the cause of the yellow LED, it is still possible for the vehicle to pass the
emissions tests.
• If a "pending" code is the cause of the yellow LED, it is still possible for the vehicle to pass
the emissions tests.
• If the yellow LED is caused by the fact that certain monitors have not completed the tests,
the vehicle's capacity to pass the emission tests depends on the standards and regulations of
