    1 Safety Instructions 1.1 General Safety Instructions Read the manuals of the device and the weighing terminal carefully before use. For safety reasons, follow the warnings and instructions stated in all related manuals strictly. The safety of the device cannot be ensured if it is not operated in accordance with the operating instructions and if it is not serviced in accordance with this manual.

    The PJA434 and PJA439 are designed for use in tough warehouse applications and production facilities. PJA434 is painted steel version and PJA439 is 100% stainless steel version. A built-in re¬chargeable battery powers the weighing system and provides enough energy to work a whole day on a fully charged battery. This integrated power supply enables you to weigh anywhere the pallet truck goes.

    Fast temperature changes must be avoided because it will cause condensation in the electronics. During acclimatization the weighing system must be switched off. Consult METTLER TOLEDO for information about using the product in a chemical environment. 2.5 Further Document Two documents named "Quck Guide" and "User Manual" are available for this product.

    3 Installation This product is designed ready for use and requires minimum installation after unpacking. 3.1 Unpacking 1 Unpack the product and remove all the packing materials. Keep these packing materials in case the product needs to be shipped in the future. 2 Remove all the tapes that wraps around the forks, otherwise, the weighing accuracy may be compromised.

    5 Operation 5.1 Checking Pallet Truck Scale 5.1.1 Function Check The function check should be performed under the condition that the scale is calibrated. Refer to the manual provided with the connected weighing terminal for information about calibration. 1 Before starting a weighing series, perform a function check of the scale and the connected weighing terminal.

    5 Lift the forks until the pallet and load are entirely off the ground (refer to [Using Control Lever   Page 9] for instructions on lifting). Make sure there's no peripheral items or obstacles touching the pallet, the forks, or the load. 6 Read the weight value when the reading on the weighing terminal gets stable.
  • Página 16 Place the load centrally across the forks. Do not place the load eccentrally across the forks. Because the steering wheels are mounted in the front, near the terminal housing, pulling the scale is preferred above pushing it. When the unit is not being used, lower the forks to their lowest height and place the control lever in neutral position.

    6 Maintenance and Service Have an authorized METTLER TOLEDO service representative inspect and calibrate the product periodically. If the product is used for legal-for-trade purposes, consult the local weights and measures authorities for minimum inspection requirements. Contact your local authorized METTLER TOLEDO service representative for information about periodic inspection and calibration service.

    Cleaning Instructions Remove dirt and deposits at regular intervals from the outside and inside of the scale. The procedure depends both on the type of surface and on the environmental conditions prevailing at the installation location. 6.3 Battery Operation Check the battery before operation. Recharge the battery according to [Battery Charging   Page 12] when the battery level is low.

    WARNING Dispose of used battery properly. Keep away from children. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in fire.     1 Sicherheitshinweise 1.1 Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise Lesen Sie vor dem Gebrauch die Handbücher des Geräts und des Wägeterminals sorgfältig durch. Halten Sie sich aus Sicherheitsgründen genau an die Warnungen und Anweisungen in allen zugehörigen Handbüchern. Wird das Gerät nicht gemäss der Bedienungsanleitung betrieben und gewartet, kann ein sicherer Betrieb nicht gewährleistet werden.

    2 Einleitung 2.1 Produktübersicht Der PJA434 und der PJA439 sind auf den Einsatz in Produktionsanlagen und anspruchsvollen Lageranwen- dungen ausgelegt. PJA434 ist als lackierte Stahlversion und PJA439 als 100%ige Edelstahlversion verfügbar. Ein eingebauter wiederaufladbarer Akku versorgt das Wägesystem mit ausreichend Energie, um den ganzen Tag lang mit vollständig aufgeladenem Akku arbeiten zu können.

    Schnelle Temperaturänderungen müssen vermieden werden, da dies zu Kondensation in der Elektronik führen kann. Während der Akklimatisierung muss das Wägesystem ausgeschaltet sein.     5 Betrieb 5.1 Überprüfen des Wägehubwagens 5.1.1 Funktionsprüfung Die Funktionsprüfung sollte unter der Bedingung durchgeführt werden, dass die Waage kalibriert ist. Informatio- nen zum Kalibrieren der Waage finden Sie im Handbuch, das mit dem verbundenen Wägeterminal geliefert wurde. 1 Führen Sie vor Beginn einer Wägeserie eine Funktions- prüfung der Waage und des verbundenen Wägetermi- nals durch.

    Das Wägesystem (ohne Drucker) erfüllt die Schutzklasse IP65. Dies bedeutet, dass Staub oder Feuchtigkeit (Regen oder ein Wasserstrahl von allen Seiten) den Betrieb der Elektronik nicht beeinflussen. Eine Hoch- druckreinigung in Kombination mit warmem Wasser oder chemischen Reinigungsmitteln führt jedoch zum Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit und wirkt sich daher negativ auf den Betrieb des Systems aus.

    Os rolamentos das rodas (não poliuretano) e os pontos basculantes da barra de nivelamento das rodas de carga devem ser limpos e lubrificados regularmente.     6.3.3 Eliminação de Baterias Em função da uma utilização normal por um período de tempo, a energia disponível no conjunto de baterias diminuirá, perdendo-se a capacidade para alimentar o terminal por um período prolongado. Quando isso acontecer, o conjunto de baterias deverá ser substituído e a bateria original deverá ser devidamente eliminada. ATENÇÃO Elimine corretamente a bateria usada.
