5.1 Foundation

The following criteria must be verified prior to installation:

The structural suitability of the soil in accordance with DIN 18196

Maximum groundwater levels/ drainage of the subsoil

Types of loading present, e. g. traffic load
A soil survey should be requested from the local building authority to determine the physical properties of
the soil.
5.2 Checks prior to installation
Immediately before installing the tanks in the trench, the competent person from the installation contractor
must check and document that:

The seal and tank wall are undamaged

The tank is properly sealed

The installation system is properly installed

The trench is properly constructed, in particular that the dimensions and bed are correct

The granuality of the material for the gravel surround (evidence provided by delivery slip) and fill-
ing material

The soil must correspond to group 1 or 2 in accordance with ATV work sheet 127

Certificates demonstrating the stated characteristics should be presented to the authorities re-
sponsible
