Arrange the
contents of
your Claw kit
and your set
of towers.
INSERT A BARREL NUT
INTO A CLAW.
THREAD BOLT END INTO
BARREL NUT.

PREPARE SKEWERS:
Remove the barrel nuts from the skewers.
Claws are vehicle specific.
Be sure to have the correct
claw for your vehicle.
Refer to your YAKIMA Dealer,
or go online at
www.yakima.com.
Make sure the wedge
fits inside the tower and
is flush with the face.
REPEAT PROCESS UNTIL REMAINING TOWERS ARE ASSEMBLED.
Set aside.
PREPARE TOWERS:
Carefully lift the rubber
pads at the back of the
tower to reveal the claw
channels.
SLIDE THE CLAW INTO THE CHANNELS. (Hold the nut in place.)
BEHIND THE CLAW,
INSTALL TWO PLUGS INTO
EACH TOWER.
Press firmly.
If you need to
remove the
plugs, use a
flat tool.

Replace tower's rubber pads.
YOU MUST PRESS FIRMLY
TO SEAT THE TOWER
EDGES INTO THE PADS!
