TYPES OF INSTALLATION

We offer the following 4 basic types of installation:
– Boiler for heating only and high and low–temperature zones with

Below you will find the hydraulic diagram, the wiring diagram and a con-
figuration parameter table for each of these types. The table shows
the parameters to be modified as compared to the default values.
The complete list of parameters that is given in the Appendix
allows you to reset the starting parameters in the case some
parameters are changed by mistake.
Once you have chosen the type of installation, you only need to insert
the parameters of the corresponding table in the regulator and to
carry out the tests on the inputs and outputs, thus making sure all the
connected parts have been correctly identified (recommended).

LENGTH VALUES FOR THE CABLES

In the following table you will find the maximum length values for the
cables connecting different Albatros RVA46.531 units (LPB bus) as
well as Albatros RVA46.531 units and their respective feelers, accor-
ding to their section area.

PRELIMINARY ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

The wiring diagram of each of the installations shows the connections
to be made between the RVA46.531 regulator and the boiler card.
We are going to describe a few preliminary configuration operations,
which are common to all the presented installations:
– "Albatros" jumper : On
the boiler card there is
a jumper called
"Albatros", which has to
be inserted for the boi-
ler to be connected to
the regulator.
– Maximum capacity set-
ting: in order to get
maximum heating capa-
city of the boiler, you
need to turn the setting
trimmer clockwise till
the end. In all boilers,
the said trimmer
(Trimmer B) is located
underneath the setting knob for the heating temperature.
– Ignition switch on REMOTE: The boiler ignition switch must be set

on REMOTE to enable remo-
te control of boiler through
the RVA46.531 regulator. In
this mode, the settings of
the "Riscaldamento" (hea-
ting) and "Sanitario" (sani-
tary) knobs are of no impor-
tance.
– Boiler–regulator connection: The regulator must be connected to
the boiler with the bipolar cable. The latter must be plugged into
the Comando Remoto (CR) (remote control) connection according
to the polarities, as shown in the illustration.

WITH HIGH AND LOW–TEMPERATURE ZONES
Characteristics in outline:
– Self–adjusting to the heat requirement
– Automatic Summer/Winter switching
– Climate adjustment with external feeler of the low–temperature zone.
– Zone regulation with mixing valve, pump, zone feeler and room unit
(QAA70) control device through RVA46.531 regulator.
– High temperature zone with fixed point.
– 7–day heating program option.
