SETTING OF HEATING PERIOD (CH)
Nominal room temperature setpoint
The heating system uses three different setpoint values that can be
set up:
– The room temperature setpoint, described hereunder
– The reduced room temperature setpoint (line 14)
– The anti–freeze room temperature setpoint (line 15).
We distinguish two cases:
1) WITHOUT ROOM UNIT
If there is no QAA70 room
unit, the nominal room tempe-
rature setup is set using the
knob on the regulator, easy to
reach for the user.
Set–up range
8...26
During the heating periods, the nominal room temperature setup
is maintained. The heating periods are inserted in lines 6–11.
2) WITH ROOM UNIT
The QAA70 room unit has a line for settings, which substitutes
the setpoint established with the regulator knob, if the regulator
functions in the automatic mode.
The room unit has a further knob to modify the setpoint by ± 3°C.

Selection of day of the week
This function allows to select the day or the entire week, for which you
intend to program the heating hours.
a) Push the line selection buttons to select line 5.
b) Push the + / – buttons to select the entire week or the single
day.
1–7 = selection of the entire week
1...7 = number of the selected day.
– This setting must be made before inserting the periods of time.
– For each day, to which different switching hours apply, you must
repeat the selection of the single day, and then insert the periods
of time. We suggest you select the week in the first place (1–7)
and insert the switching time applying to the majority of the days;
after that, select the single days (1
changes.

Switching time (periods of time)
of the timer program
This is the setting of the switching time for the timer program, when
the prescribed values for the heating circuit temperature change.
a) Push the line selection buttons to select lines 6–11.
b) Push the + /– buttons to set the switching time on each line.
First of all you must select the day of the week (line 5), for which the
switching time must be inserted!
At the set time, the program will switch onto the corresponding pre-
scribed temperature values.

Room temperature setpoint (comfort) value
This parameter displays the setpoint value for room temperature.
The room temperature setpoint is set on the regulator knob and is
the COMFORT temperature.
a) Push the line selection buttons to select line 54.
b) No + / – setting is possible.
The value set through the knob will be automatically displayed on this
line. If there is a room unit, the setpoint of the room unit will be
displayed.
The regulator causes an adjustment of the delivery temperature
according to the external temperature. Should the comfort room
temperature not be reached, you can increase the setpoint value
using the regulator knob.

Reduced setpoint of room temperature
This function allows setting of lower room temperature when needed,
for instance at night, thus saving energy. The heating system has
three different setpoint values that can be set up:
– The reduced room temperature setup, described hereunder
– The room temperature setup (set using the knob)
– The anti–freeze room temperature setup (setting on line 15)
a) Push the line selection buttons to select line 14
b) Push the + /– buttons to adjust the reduced room temperature
setup.
