PRIOR TO FITTING
1. Check that all the parts shown are included in the Kit.
2. Check the condition of each individual part.
3. Park the vehicle in a stable manner.
4. Take the key out of the ignition.
5. Protect all parts removed from the vehicle.
6. Be careful not to damage any vehicle parts during fitting.
The condition to assemble parts is technical experience.
If you not sure if you do a special work step, you should ask your next SUZUKI dealer.
STEP-BY-STEP FITTING GUIDE GSX-R
The original wiring harness for GSX-R 600-750-1000 models, are equipped with two connectors.
They are dedicated for Alarm System. The features of these two connectors are;
one-way connector and four ways connector with plastic cover.
Photo A: Fit the main connector into the alarm control unit, insert the rubber hood its housing (1) and
secure it using a cable grip (2).
Specification of connectors; (3) LED connector, (4) connectors for indicator's light, (5) connectors for
Alarm system.
The metal bracket is made for satisfy GSX-R and Hayabusa vehicle's.
The only difference are the holes for fixation and screws.
Photo 1: Remove the main saddle (A), release the pillion saddle (C), remove the rear faring (B) and the
two lateral faring.
Photo 2: Fix the metallic bracket on the left side of the rear frame (D) using the holes (6) as show on
the picture (A), and fix it by two screws (L=10mm) includes in the installation kit.
Take care during mounting the wiring that function of movable components
is given and that no movable and sharp-edged components damage the cable.
For GSX-R 1000 vehicle; the original connectors for Alarm control unit, are positioned on the left
side of the rear frame. The feature of these two connector are following; single pin connector
and four way closed end connector and also six way connector for indicator lights, photo 2 rif.(E).
For GSX-R 600-750 vehicle; the original connectors for Alarm control unit, are positioned
on the right side near to the Ignition control unit, photo 4 rif. (L), and the six way connector
for indicator lights is positioned on the right side of the rear frame, photo 5 rif. (N).
Photo 3: For GSX-R 1000. Fix the alarm assembly using two plastic ties, as shown, with the siren facing
downward. Lay the alarm harness towards the front of the motorcycle and secure it using a plastic tie
(F), then lay towards the rear and make all the electrical connections (G), including the connection to
the direction indicator lights.
Photo 4: For GSX-R 600-750. Fix the alarm assembly using two plastic ties (H), with the siren facing
downward. Secure the alarm cable with a tie (I) and make the electrical connections to the alarm part
only (L).
Photo 5: For GSX-R 600-750. Continue laying the alarm harness, following the same route as for the
original harness, and secure it with a tie (M); make the electrical connection to the direction indicator
lights by means of the six-pin connector (N).
Photo 6: For GSX-R 1000. Fit the LED and make its electrical connection using the two-pin connector
on the alarm harness, as shown in the photo (O).
Photo 7: For GSX-R 600-750. Fit the LED and make its electrical connection using the two-pin connector
on the alarm harness, as shown in the photo (P).
