Structure and function

4.1

Brief description

The trak | charger HF premium product series is intended for commercial
use in the following applications.
Charging batteries for industrial trucks used in the following areas:
Standard warehouse operation (e. g. incoming/outgoing goods,
loading and unloading, high-bay warehouses, etc.)
Dusty environments
The HOPPECKE trak | charger HF premium chargers can be used to charge
the following battery types:
Lead acid batteries 24..80 V, 64 to 1550 Ah
The following charging scenarios can be configured:
Full charging of the specified electrochemical energy storage
devices from 80 % discharged with a standard charging curve in 7 to
14 hours
The device has a modular design.
Remove the mains plug and connected batteries to completely disconnect
all energy sources.
The device and mains plug are intended for connection to 16 A and/or
32 A CEE sockets with appropriate fuses. Permanently connected devices
should have fuses equating to the maximum input current. A 16 A fuse is
to be selected if the input current is < 16 A. A 32 A fuse is to be selected for
input currents > 16 A.
The device itself does not contain any fuses that can be independently
changed.
Depending on the power requirements, the device is available in a
version with a small housing (1..3 converter modules) or with a medi-
um-sized housing (1..5 converter modules). Converter modules can be
retrofitted at a later date by HOPPECKE customer service, enabling you
to adapt your charger to new usage conditions or achieve faster charge
times.
Your charger uses a switch-mode power supply with high-frequency
switching to convert the AC mains voltage and achieve a high degree of
efficiency. This reduces your energy consumption and cuts costs while
helping to protect the environment.
All charges also come with the option of electrolyte circulation (trak | air)
for compatible batteries.

Accessories:
Electrolyte circulation with trak | air:
The charger supplies the compressed air needed to circulate the electrolyte
in the battery cells via a tube system.
Benefits of electrolyte circulation:
Enables opportunity charging and thus eliminates the need to
replace batteries for up to 16 hours of operation, depending on the
type of charger used
Reduces charge time by up to 2.5 hours
Reduces energy costs by up to 30 % and maintenance costs by up
to 70 %
Higher expected battery lifespan
Cable holder:
The cable holder for the DC cables is pushed into
the device when packed so as not to damage the
box. Withdraw this after unpacking for optimum
results.
Wall bracket:
