Body mass index (BMI)

Body mass index (BMI)
The BMI indicates the ratio of height to weight and is only an approximate standard
value. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an index of 18.6 to 25 is
optimal.
Since men typically have a higher percentage of muscle mass in the total body mass
than women do, the age and gender play an important role in interpreting the BMI.

Cleaning

NOTE on material damage
– Do not immerse the scale in water or other liquids.
– Never use harsh, scouring or abrasive cleaning agents or the like to
clean the scale. Otherwise, the surface could be scratched.
– Wipe the scale as needed with a slightly damp soft cloth.
– Disinfect the weighing surface and the sensors from time to time using a suitable
disinfecting agent (available at specialist retailers and pharmacies).
