For use, you need 2 batteries of type LR03 (AAA), 1.5 V (included). The battery
compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Open the battery compartment by pushing the locking tab towards the scale and
removing the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert the batteries as indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment. Pay
attention to the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
The locking tab must snap audibly into place.
Suggestions for changing the battery:
A change of batteries becomes necessary when "Lo" appears on the
display, or when nothing at all is displayed.
Only use the type of battery that is specified in the "Technical data".
Always change all batteries at the same time.
Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally appropriate way (see
"Disposal").
Calibrate the scale, see "Setting up the scale".
Choosing the unit of measurement
When the scales are delivered, the unit of measurement is set to "kg" as standard.
However, the measurement result can also be displayed in the English units of
measurement, "lb" (pound) or "St:lb" (stone:pound).
– Press repeatedly the Unit button on the back of the scale. Note the display.
Setting up the scale
– Place the scale on an even, firm and dry surface. Do not place the scale on a carpet
This is how your body analyser scales work
Your new body analyser scales work using so-called BIA-technology (Bioelectric
Impedance Analysis). This involves an undetectable, completely harmless and weak
current flowing through your body.
The measurement takes place via sensors that are mounted on the weighing surface.
The current flows relatively unhindered through the fluid contained in muscle
mass.
In fat mass, the resistance is greater. This resistance is measured.
